🌟 What I Have Learned: Joy and Money Over 20 Years 🌟
In 2002, I published my book, "The Intersection of Joy and Money," where I discussed the 5 truths of money, including the idea that money is energy. Back then, I advocated for socially responsible investing, which has since evolved into what we now call ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) investing. At that time, less than 1% of global assets were invested in ESG funds. Fast forward to 2020, and that number has skyrocketed to 35.9%! 🌍📈
What I have learned is that the word "joy" is more than just a feeling; it's an inner guiding light and my essence. For me, joy is a question I ask myself: "am I making a choice for joy in my life?" This question guides all my decisions, including those about money and finance. Joy isn't just about happiness from external events; it's a deep, internal feeling that bubbles up from within.
Everyone has their own word—whether it's love, passion, wisdom or peace. What I have learned is that knowing your word helps align your life with it. When we make powerful choices around money, we align our financial life with our essence. Imagine a world where everyone knows their word and has enough to live without fear. A world where we all make choices that align with who we truly are. 🌟💖
